CHILD SERVICES — Holiday Shopping Spree

Holiday Shopping Spree—Homeless children rarely have the chance to give to others. Each December all of the Homestretch children descend on a local department store where they select gifts for each member of their family. Volunteers partner one-on-one with the children to help them pick out just the right gifts and then wrap them at a holiday party. The children give these wrapped gifts to their families during the holidays and develop a sense of generosity and experience what it is to give rather than only receive during the holidays.
