CHILD SERVICES — Volunteer Day

Volunteer Day—Many people feel that families in a program like Homestretch are simply taking from society. In fact that is far from the truth. May clients in Homestretch volunteer on a regular basis and once a year everyone at Homestretch participates in our Volunteer Day. The goal is for Homestretch clients to take part in a day of volunteering to spark a lifelong commitment to giving back to the community as well as for the parents to model this very positive behavior in their children. In recent years Homestretch has beautified a local elementary school, redeveloped a park and put together packs of necessary items to sustain day laborers.
